Mixed Media
This is a page in a bird-themed circle journal. Pen, ink, gouache, transparent watercolors and markers for the vines. One of my favorite quotes.
These pages were done in someone else's journal as part of a circle journal project. I was sad to see it go, but I think she'll like it.
This week's teacher, Melody Ross, asked that we mine some of the wisdom we've learned from good times as well as challenging times throughout our lives and capture it for posterity in a treasure chest. At my age, there is simply too much learned wisdom to fit into one treasure chest! This journal spread was created primarily with acrylic paint, stencils and collaged phrases. 1/23/16
Documented Life Project (2015)
Documented Life Project (2015) - "What advice would I give to my younger self?" Well, have more fun, for one thing...but also focus more on my dreams rather than on my problems. I enjoyed this a lot because I just allowed myself to be free. This was done mostly with acrylic paints (fluorescent!), collage elements, duck tape, washi tape, and markers.

Documented Life Project (2015): "Coming Into Focus". The Bible encourages us to focus on the things that will actually make us happy and satisfied with our lives. Creating this page gave me a lot of joy! Acrylics, Dylusions paints, stencils, watercolors. And glue. Lots of glue.
